Hidden in plain sight within Toronto’s Entertainment District, right on Adelaide, Make Lemonade is Toronto’s brightest, most engaging workspace with a pleasant twist; it’s just for women.
At the helm of it all is Rachel Kelly (2nd from left), a local Ryerson University graduate and previously part-time freelancer who took a company-reversed job acceptance as a sign to follow her actual dream of being an entrepreneur and supporter of her fellow female comrades.
Opened in 2017 with beautiful pink and yellow walls, hip furniture and even real lemon trees, Make Lemonade is more than just a co-working space; it’s an opportunity for women to receive the guidance and inspiration they need to succeed. From Masterclasses to Lemon Mixers, Cozy Convo sessions to Side Hustle Sundays, the team at Make Lemonade is always working on new ways to create inclusive, informative events without the pressure or stagnancy of common corporate-like networking events.
“I want to be able to create a space and an environment and maybe a lifestyle or a mentality, that if you can dream it, then you can make it happen,” said Kelly in an interview.
And has she ever.
